Rubicon Bakers was deliberately designed to give people a second chance. It first launched as a job training program for a nonprofit aimed at helping people with histories of addiction, homelessness, or incarceration find work. Now it’s a for profit, quickly growing business, with products in more than 2,500 stores.
For the grocery stores that sell the company’s cakes and cupcakes across the country, the product is key. They recently launched a new line of vegan products, for example. Yet the mission remains at the heart of the business, which is also a certified B Corp.
Providing a second chance never tasted so good.
