The Something About Food? Blog

This is the Something About Food? Blog, where Chef Chris Clarke discusses new podcast episodes, travel, restaurants, and more!

A blog about food, family, and travel by the mostly-vegan Chef Chris Clarke.

MEANS to an End

It was not a waste of time to chat with MEANS Database Chief Operating Officer Sammie Paul. She's traveled to many of the areas in the world I have, so we had lots to chat about.

We talk about lava-hot chai in India, food waste in the US, and wood-fired bagels in DC in “MEANS to an End”, Episode 49 of the Something About Food? Podcast.

Sammie Paul is the Chief Operating Officer at MEANS Database, a nation-wide communication platform that reroutes excess food from restaurants & grocery stores to local food pantries, soup kitchens, and homeless shelters. She is passionate about public health policy, travel, and finding the best new restaurant wherever she is.

This is that lava-hot chai Sammie and I discussed. Notice the second glass somewhat protecting my digits from the heat?
