I had such a great time chatting with Dr. Lori Choi, one of the founding member of women’s health advocacy and education group “I’ll Have What She’s Having”. She understands restaurant life, gets why chocolate cake should be sweet and not too dense, and is fighting for women’s reproductive rights and access to high quality, affordable health care in the US.
We got gabbing about all of this and more in “Your Choi”, Episode 43 of “Something About Food?”.
Dr. Lori Choi is a board-certified vascular surgeon and founder of I'll Have What She's Having, a women-led organization raising funds for and awareness of the crisis in women's health in Texas and beyond. The fledgling non-profit, powered by 100+ volunteer hospitality professionals, physicians, artists, and other activists, has raised almost 250k for local women's health organizations, via pop up dining events that team up and coming culinarians with established chefs.
